Although Midori is only 15 years old, she carries herself with confidence and charisma, and she is a pleasure to watch when she performs. She is a high-energy, soulfully potent singer and songwriter.

I had the pleasure to join her on her exciting journey 2 years ago when we recorded her first recording of "Close Your Eyes" at the age of 13. Two years later, this song was selected by Singer Universe and featured Midori as the Best Singer of the Month in May 2008.

Midori is backed by Audioclique with burning lead guitar, panaramic keyboards, and relentless ground pounding bass and drums. Midori and the band continue to journey forward, and our song "Go" was recently nominated for best Indy Pop Song by the Hollywood Music Awards. The ceremony will take place in November at the prestigious Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, and we are all pretty damn excited about the show.

Midori and the band just got back from 4 solid days of shows in the LA and San Francisco Bay Area. We've played some pretty great venues like Safari Sam's on Sunset Blvd, The Forbidden City at the famous corner of Hollywood and Vine, and we are scheduled to appear at The Mint in Hollywood in August for the KBH Showcase.

"When one is listening to Midori/Audioclique, one will instantly be hooked."
(Isaac Davis, www.juniorscave.com 6/17/08)

Four of our songs were at the #1, #2, #3, and #4 positions for SF-based Garageband.com, and have been featured on Pulse Radio, Slice the Pie (UK), iRadio Indie 104 in Los Angeles, Radio INDY.com, Indie Solo, and other global internet radio stations.

Our sound has been described as "organic, classic rock fused with a modern presence ala Beatles meets Clarkson meets Zeppelin meets Fiona meets Floyd meets Gwen.”

"Take Me There", "If I", "The Great Divide", and "Only When You Smile" were featured on Garageband.com, winning several awards including Track of the Day, Track of the Week, and several number 1 spots in the San Francisco Bay Area in the rock music category.

As of July 26 2008, I started chronicling Midori's journey through the NEW music business maze. Check out my blog at www.audioclique.net/blog (or click the link in the menu bar) to read about Midori's trips to Los Angeles and the various shows where she and the band play.

And of course, thanks for all of your support!!!

What are her fans from www.slicethepie.com saying?

"I think you have created genuine art here...I thought the vocalist was exceptional."

"...hits you like a boot in the face. The awesome female vocals make it so worth listening too."

"...breezy and fresh and heartfelt...very original."

"...[sung] with devotion and beauty. Adding depth, focus and great expression to their passionate performance...with great memorable lyrical lines."

How about musiczeitgeist.com?

"... the wild wild world of ... independent releases that take chances in the production room...that intertextually leans on the wide-open sound of Zeppelin and what No Doubt must have sounded like before their first major label..."

"This project rides the wave in [two] directions... promising a fresh voice and one that is institutionally sanctioned..."

"Midori’s voice has all the making of mainstream stardom, and the band that she rides understands the gravity of letting the moment ride..."

"...vintage recording techniques and broad sounding mixes that remind us that there is a life in all this, not just an agenda to cut through the clamor."

"Let’s give ‘em an A. Cuz the sound, when it’s sound, is sexy and so is she."
